In 1963, the Xerox Company had a dream: A Dream Of Destiny. It was the manifestation of patriotic innovation which prompted the composure of Xerox, Take It From Here, a broadway-quality musical production set to the stage at the 1963 Xerox Convention.
Take It From Here is one of many Industrial Musicals–––musicals produced for large companies, performed as educational entertainment for employees and executives–––throughout the middle section of the twentieth century. Corporations including American-Standard, General Motors, Coca-Cola and Xerox, among many others, staged incomparable productions featuring the standard wit and magnificence of the theater, though with a certain hilarious corporate focus. Sales strategies and new product features were written into the music, educating salespeople in a manner so simple to digest, and so simultaneously amusing.
COMPREHENSIVE INTERNATIONAL proposes a performance of Xerox’s 1963 Take It From Here, an eight song musical concerning the Xerox Company's greatest feats and achievements, including the introduction of the ever integral 813 Copier. Such a musical is to be staged at Deerfield High School, with certain aspects developed in collaboration, though with such a production adequately autonomous as not to detract or distract from DHS Theater’s production calendar. Preferred dates include the weekends in the second half of April. The proposed production would run for at least two shows, including one on the applicable Saturday night
COMPREHENSIVE INTERNATIONAL intends to write twenty minutes of dialog in order to implement a greater coherency and logic into the script, with the prospective run-time being one hour exactly.
COMPREHENSIVE INTERNATIONAL will guarantee the ability to use the intellectual property of Xerox’s Take It From Here without interruption or grievance from any third party.
COMPREHENSIVE INTERNATIONAL will accumulate and provide the necessary funding for the production of Xerox’s Take It From Here
